Ryerson Webseries: TIFF Reception at Ryerson

The project began immediately after the team was chosen. We were sent emails about production dates, responsibilities, and people we needed to research. We were told the date for the Ryerson reception was Wednesday and that we would get the guest list soon.

Tuesday morning and we get an urgent email that the event was actually that night. We had just been given the guest list and needed to research all the people and get it to Ramona by 4pm (this was at 9:30am). Luckily it was a work period in MPM33, so I set up a google doc and shared it with Karen & Helaena. We quickly got through the guest list, researching a range of people from Atom Egoyan to Garrick Filewod. We were able to finish all the research by 4pm and sent it to Ramona.

After class, I ran home to change into something business casual, quickly pulling on a black dress with a bit of tulle and running to the Atrium in the Engineering building (which none of us knew existed). Helping with the makeshift studio setup behind the Atrium.

Helaena, Karen, and I helped Jefferson with getting the interviewees from the party to the studio. We didn’t know what the people looked like and made us dependent on Jefferson, who was dependent on Mary (Levy’s assistant). Next time we’re going to include photos of the people. Other than that it was a fun night and a great experience.
